A 57 y/o male presents complaining of a "dark shadow" in the lower half of his vision in the right eye shortly after awakening in the morning. He denies any ocular pain, headache or diplopia. He says he was feeling fine the night before.

Past Ocular History: Wears +1.75 reading glasses. Denies any ocular trauma.

 

Past Medical History: Hypertension for 20 years, hyperlipidemia for 15 years

 

Past Surgical History: No intraocular surgeries. Left knee replacement in 2004.

 

Meds:  Aspirin 81 mg QD

           Atorvastatin 40 mg QD

           Amlodipine 5 mg QD

           Propanolol 20 mg QD (Added 2 weeks ago due to sustained hypertension)
